This article explains how Flowella’s pricing plans work, what is included in each plan, and how Meta’s WhatsApp fees fit into the picture.

1. How billing works at a high level

When you use Flowella with WhatsApp, you will usually see two types of costs:

  1. Flowella subscription and usage

    • Billed by Discover Digital via Stripe.

    • Covers access to the Flowella platform, HubSpot integration, dashboards and usage up to the limits of your plan. flowella.io

  2. Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) fees

    • Charged separately by Meta for sending WhatsApp messages.

    • Paid via your own WhatsApp Business / Meta Business account, set up in Meta Business Manager or WhatsApp Manager. flowella.io

Think of it as: Flowella = software licence and usage, Meta = network fees for delivering the messages.


2. Flowella subscription plans

At the time of writing, plans are structured as follows:

Free Trial

Ideal for testing the “Flowella Effect” with a limited number of conversations.

  • Price: $0

  • Typical inclusions:

    • A capped number of WhatsApp conversations (currently listed as 1,000 on the pricing page). flowella.io

    • “Powered by Flowella.io” watermark on WhatsApp messages.

  • Duration:

    • Marketing site currently advertises a 14-day free trial, and the free trial card lists a 30-day period. Exact duration may vary by promotion, so treat the pricing page and checkout screen as the source of truth. flowella.io

Your flows may be disabled or limited when the trial ends or you exceed the free trial allowance, unless you upgrade to a paid plan. flowella.io


Starter

For teams getting started with WhatsApp automation.

  • Typical price: $79 per month. flowella.io

  • Includes:

    • 2,000 conversations per month.

    • Overage: a per-conversation fee for usage above the included allowance (for example, $0.04 per extra conversation, subject to change). flowella.io+1

    • Removal of the Flowella watermark.

    • HubSpot Workflow component, so you can drop Flowella into HubSpot automations. flowella.io


Pro

For growing teams scaling WhatsApp automation.

  • Typical price: $159 per month. flowella.io

  • Includes:

    • Everything in the Starter plan.

    • 5,000 conversations per month.

    • Lower overage rate per extra conversation (e.g., around $0.03 per conversation beyond the included limit). flowella.io


Enterprise

For organisations needing bespoke support or higher usage.

  • Price: Custom, agreed with the Flowella team.

  • Includes:

    • Everything in the Pro plan.

    • Bespoke pricing and higher or tailored usage limits.

Enterprise plans may be governed by a separate order form or service agreement.


3. What counts towards your usage limits?

In Flowella, usage is measured primarily in WhatsApp conversations.

A conversation is one WhatsApp interaction between your business number and an end-user that Flowella sends or manages, typically aligned with WhatsApp’s own conversation or session concept. Multiple messages in a single 24-hour customer service window are usually treated as one conversation from a billing perspective, although Meta is moving towards per-message charging and Flowella may adjust over time. Included usage and overages

  • Each plan includes a number of conversations per month.

  • If you go over your included amount:

    • Flowella does not usually hard-stop your flows.

    • Instead, additional usage is billed as overage at the per-conversation rate for your plan, typically at the end of your billing cycle. flowella.io

Usage is also subject to a fair use policy. Extremely high volumes or behaviour that looks like spam may trigger a review, a request to adjust your plan, or in extreme cases rate limiting or suspension. flowella.io

You can monitor your usage in the Flowella dashboard. If you are planning a large campaign, it is wise to speak to the team first so you are on the right tier.


4. Trials, renewals and cancellation

Free trial

  • Starts when you create your Flowella account or activate a trial plan.

  • Runs for a limited period (for example 14 days) or until you hit the trial usage cap, whichever comes first.

  • At the end of the trial, you can upgrade to a paid plan to keep your flows live.

Paid plans

  • Billed in advance on a monthly billing cycle.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew each month unless you cancel. flowella.io

Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting support.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access until then and are not billed again after that date. flowella.io

Flowella charges are processed securely via Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe, not stored in the Flowella application itself.


5. Meta (WhatsApp) fees

Flowella subscription fees do not include WhatsApp message delivery costs. Those are charged by Meta for use of the WhatsApp Business Platform. flowella.io

How Meta charges

Meta historically used a conversation-based pricing model, where you pay per 24-hour conversation window, with different categories such as marketing, utility, service and authentication conversations. Facebook

Meta has begun transitioning to a per-message billing model for template messages, where you pay for each delivered template, with the rate depending on the category and country. This change is being rolled out across providers in 2025, so always check your own rate card for the current structure. mysmsmantra.com

Key points:

  • Fees vary by country/region and message category.

  • Some replies within the 24-hour customer service window may be free; proactive templates outside that window are usually chargeable.

  • Meta bills these fees via your WhatsApp Business account or through your Business Solution Provider if you are using one.

Flowella does not mark up or resell Meta fees; you pay Meta directly and remain responsible for those costs.


6. Quick FAQ

Do Flowella plan limits reset?
Yes. Conversation allowances reset at the start of each new billing month for your subscription.

Can I move between plans?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade plans. Upgrades usually take effect immediately with a prorated charge, while downgrades take effect at the next renewal date.
