When a WhatsApp send fails, Meta returns a numeric error code (and often a human-readable title). Flowella shows the plain-English explanation in the send log, inbox, and template Statistics Details column. Use this hub to jump to the codes customers hit most often on knowledge.flowella.io. Official Meta reference: WhatsApp error codes. For delivery symptoms that are not a named code, see Messages not delivered.

Quick index

Error 131042 — payment method / business eligibility

Meta details: There was an error related to your payment method. Flowella often shows this as Business eligibility payment issue. Documented Meta causes include: payment account not attached to the WABA; credit line over limit or inactive; WABA deleted or suspended; timezone or currency not set; MessagingFor (on-behalf-of) pending or declined. In practice, a card can appear in Meta Billing Hub while sends still fail. That usually means an account-level eligibility problem (for example incomplete business verification, WABA not active, or the Default card not attached to the same WABA Flowella sends from) — not a bad recipient. → Full guide: Error 131042 (payment / eligibility) · Related: Meta payment method

Error 131047 — 24-hour customer service window closed

Meta details: More than 24 hours have passed since the recipient last replied to the sender number. You tried to send a free-form (session) message outside the open window. Send an approved template instead, or wait for the contact to message you so a new window opens. → Full guide: Error 131047 (24-hour window)

Error 131048 — spam / quality restrictions on your number

Meta details: Message failed to send because there are restrictions on how many messages can be sent from this phone number. This may be because too many previous messages were blocked or flagged as spam. This is about your number’s quality, not the recipient. Check quality in WhatsApp Manager, pause aggressive marketing, and review blocked/report rates. → Full guide: Error 131048 (spam / quality) · Related: Quality score · Messaging limits

Error 131049 — healthy ecosystem engagement

Meta details: This message was not delivered to maintain healthy ecosystem engagement. This is Meta’s per-user marketing template limit. It only applies to Marketing templates. Utility and Authentication templates are not capped by this rule. It can happen on a first send because the limit is global to the recipient across businesses. → Full guide: Healthy ecosystem engagement (error 131049)

Error 131050 — marketing opt-out

Meta details: Unable to deliver the message. This recipient has chosen to stop receiving marketing messages on WhatsApp from your business. Do not retry marketing to that contact. Confirm opt-out status in Flowella and honour it. → Full guide: Error 131050 (marketing opt-out) · Related: Opt-outs
