Before you can send WhatsApp messages from HubSpot workflows, you need to connect three things: your Flowella account, your Meta (WhatsApp Business) account, and your HubSpot portal. Prerequisites
Make sure you have the following before you start:- HubSpot: Super Admin role, or permission to install marketplace apps and manage integrations and workflows.
- Meta / Facebook Business: Admin access to your Business Manager and a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). If you don’t have one, you’ll create it during setup.
- Payment method: A Visa or Mastercard to add to your Meta account. This covers WhatsApp conversation charges billed by Meta.
- Phone number: Either an existing mobile or landline you can receive a text or call on to validate, or a Meta-provided number.
Setup walkthrough
Create your Flowella account
Go to app.flowella.io and click Create account. Enter your email address and a secure password, then click Create account to continue.
Continue from the welcome screen
After signing in, you’ll land on the Welcome to Flowella! screen. Click Continue Setup to begin the guided onboarding flow.
Connect your Meta (WhatsApp Business) account
On the Meta Authentication screen, click Connect WhatsApp Business. You’ll be redirected to Facebook to grant Flowella access.You’ll move through a sequence of Facebook screens:
- Connect your account to Flowella — Click Get Started to proceed past the permissions overview.
- Create or select your WhatsApp Business account and profile — Choose your Business Manager, WABA, and Business profile, or create new ones if needed.
- Fill in your business information — Confirm your business name, website, country, and optional address, then click Next.
- Review Flowella’s access request — Keep all requested permissions enabled (manage accounts, access conversations, log events) and click Confirm.
- Connecting your account — Wait while Meta links your account.
Add a Meta payment method
After the connection screen, you’ll see “You’re now ready to chat with people on WhatsApp”. Click Add payment method to attach a card for WhatsApp conversation charges, then click Finish.
This payment method is managed entirely by Meta, not Flowella. You can update or remove it later in Meta Business Manager → WhatsApp → Billing.
Connect HubSpot via OAuth
You’ll now see HubSpot’s OAuth flow:
- Click Sign in to your HubSpot account (or create a new account if you don’t have one yet).
- Select the correct HubSpot portal from the account picker and click Choose Account.
- Review the scopes Flowella is requesting and click Connect app.
Choose your setup approach
On the Choose Your Setup Approach screen, you have two options:Quick Start Templates — select a pre-built template to auto-provision a working configuration you can edit immediately. Available templates include:
- Marketing Outreach (Popular) — a compliant campaign flow using approved templates
- Identity Verification, Contact Details Refresh, and Event Registration (coming soon)
